Findhorn Bay Massage is characterised by long flowing strokes from head to toe giving the receiver a feeling of connectedness to the whole body and has been developed over a period of 20 years of experience and training in different massage modalities including Esalen, Thai Yoga, Lomi Lomi, Ayurveda and Swedish.
Findhorn Bay Massage begins with gentle pressure, rocking and somatic stretches as the practitioner attunes to the areas of tension in the receiver most requiring work. Next the oil is applied in long flowing muscle warming strokes to the entire body. As the massage progresses and the client falls naturally into a profound state of relaxation the depth of work on the muscles and tendons will increase with very little pain or discomfort.
The main focus of the massage will always be tailored to the individual clients unique requirements without following a set routine. By working in this way it is possible to utilise a very wide range of techniques from the different modalities that inform Findhorn Bay Massage.
